Foam characters and cutouts
A foam board character cutout is a flat figure cut to the outline of an illustration, used as a photo stand-in, a sign or a decoration. A foam board characters set can show a story or a team. A 3D foam character is sculpted from layers of EPS and carved to give volume, with facial features, clothing and details, and it can be free-standing or wall-mounted. Characters can be human, animal, fantastic or mascot in style, and a brand can have a recognizable figure at each location.
Materials and finish
We cut and carve each figure using CNC technology and hand finishing. A coating gives a smooth, painted surface that stands up to handling and weather. The figures are far lighter than resin or fiberglass, so large characters are practical for events, rooftop displays and mall activations, and a set can be moved from site to site. We reproduce your own characters from artwork, and we can develop original ones with our design team.
Where they are used
Brand activations, retail windows, kids' areas, parks, restaurants, school events, parades and stage sets, along with giant foam letters and foam sculptures for corporate events that complete the scene.
Design details matter for a character to read well from a distance: bold outlines, clear color blocks and strong silhouettes. We adjust proportions for the viewing distance and the setting, test the stability of free-standing figures and add bases or anchors, so they stay upright in busy places and on outdoor sites.
