Types of illuminated letters
Lighted channel letters are hollow letters with LEDs inside. In front lit letters, light passes through the face, and channel lit letters glow evenly. Reverse channel letters and backlit channel letters shine from behind the letter, which creates a halo on the wall. A lightbox display is a lit cabinet with a printed face, and marquee signs use bulbs around a letter. An illuminated letter can also be a single large initial, such as illuminated letters A, M or K, used for décor or for a monogram.
Foam illuminated letters
We make large letters for a wall from CNC-cut foam, coated and painted, with LED lighting built in by our lighting partner. Foam is far lighter than metal, so a large logo can be fixed to stucco, brick or a lobby wall without heavy supports, and the coating resists moisture and UV for outdoor use. Letters can be flat or deeply sculpted, with a finish that looks like brushed metal, brass, stone or paint, and the lighting can be white, warm or color-changing.

Building tops and entrances, storefronts, hotels, offices, restaurants, lobbies, event backdrops and sports venues.
Power and service are planned from the start. We specify the driver locations, the cable routes and the access points so that an electrician can connect and maintain the lighting easily, and we label every letter. Local sign codes and electrical standards apply, so check requirements for brightness and permits for exterior signs with your installer.
