Industrial 3D Printing
Some parts cannot be cut from a block, and some need to be made fast. Royal Foam Art Design offers industrial 3D printing services that complement our CNC work, for prototypes, patterns, tooling and finished parts used in signs, displays, architecture and manufacturing.
Where 3D printing helps
3D printing for industrial applications is a good choice for complex geometry, internal channels, undercuts and fine detail that is difficult to cut. We use it for prototypes and models, patterns for molds, brackets and fixtures, custom connectors, sign components, small sculptures, architectural details and short runs of parts. Large industrial 3D printing is done in sections that are bonded and finished, so the final piece can be larger than a single print.
How it fits with foam
Our foam production uses CNC cutting for large, light forms, and 3D printing for parts that need fine detail or a hard, precise shape. Together they make a signage or display project faster: a printed prototype checks form and fit, a printed pattern feeds a mold, and printed small parts are integrated into a large foam piece. After printing, parts are sanded, primed and painted so they match the finish of the rest of the build.
On-demand service
For manufacturing, 3D printing on demand avoids the cost of tooling for short runs and allows design changes between batches. Tell us your material, size and quantity, and we will recommend the best technology and finish.
Quality control is part of printing. We check wall thickness, tolerances and fit against your drawings, and we can provide a test print of a critical detail before the full run. For parts that will be used outdoors or in a sign, we choose materials and coatings that suit the environment, and we document the finish so that later runs match.
Ordering
Send a 3D file, drawings or a sample, with the size, quantity and use. We prepare a quote, produce the parts and arrange freight across the United States. Our work carries a 20-year warranty.
How it works
- Brief: send the 3D file, size, quantity and use.
- Design: we check the model and recommend technology and finish.
- Production: printing, sanding, priming and painting.
- Delivery: freight with handling guidance.

FAQ
What is industrial 3D printing?
Production of parts and prototypes by additive manufacturing, for use in manufacturing, signage, construction and design.
What files do you need?
3D files such as STL or STEP, or drawings and samples we can model.
Can you print large parts?
Yes. Large parts are printed in sections and bonded.
Do you finish the parts?
Yes. Sanding, priming and painting to match your project.
Can you make short runs?
Yes. On-demand production for short runs and prototypes.
Can printed parts be used with foam pieces?
Yes. Printed details can be integrated into foam builds.
Which materials are available?
Materials depend on the part. Tell us the use and we will recommend options.
What do you need to quote it?
3D file, size, quantity, material and finish.
